Yule Be Ready For A Ball Then!

So what is occurring in the world of The BlackDog?

When this blog was begun yesterday, the answer was a little different, some unexpected news having just broken leading to the insertion of this paragraph, so having wetted appetites, please read on.

Well it has been a farrow period as a full band, however Dale has been playing some solo slots, including a first solo tour in Europe.

In the UK Molly has been joining him upon occasions supplying some vocals and pounding a Cajon Drum,

Molly has also been playing and singing locally with members of Matlock's Little Dog.

We have a little travelouge of Dale's Continental exploits to recount, before that though a quick gander into the next couple of weeks.

This coming Saturday the 13th Dale and Molly will be making the lengthy jaunt down to Exeter with Lord Montagues Jaques Fromage III, who joined Dale in Germany after his sojourn back in The US.

The trip is for The Steampunk Yule Ball at the city's Phoenix Arts Centre. Dale and Molly play the main stage at 8.30pm, followed directly by LMJIII, who is also MC for the evening at 9pm.

All good friends of BB, Birthrite, The Mysterious Freakshow and Professor Elemental complete a great and varied line up for the stage.

The schedule also enables  you to take in more BB friends The Wattingers in The Voodoo Lounge who will be joined on the second stage by Gurdybird, Miss Von Trapp and Fantastic Ms Fanny, additionally there will be DJs in the bar.

     Tickets £10 (£8 in advance) from  http://www.exeterphoenix.org.uk/events/the-steampunk-yule-ball/.

Dale also has a solo set at The Fishpond on Thursday the 18th.

                                         Now that late breaking news.

On Sunday the 28th of December Axel will be picking up the sticks again.

Whilst this may or may not herald a full time return for Axel, it will be fantastic to see him playing again.

The event is The BB Christmas Party and will follow a similar format to last year, with BB's playing interspersed with games and lots of prizes, which i understand Karin has already finished wrapping.

A good turnout enjoyed a great "do" last year, so "Come All Ye Faithful" to The Fishpond, Matlock Bath on Sunday the 28th., convivial atmosphere, splendid company and Axel is playing, Yeah!

One change from last year is that the party will run from 6pm until 10pm, so that more people can access the public transport to get home

Probably rambled on a little too much to go into Dale's Euro tour now, so we will save that for January.

Just to finish by wishing you "All The Best" for whatever you celebrate at this time of the year.
