BB BlackDog and The Scurvey Pirates

BB are back in Germany now, in readiness for "Aethercircus", the big North German Steampunk Festival at Stade, just North of Hamburg.

Apart from catching up with Sven, to check  on the progress of the new album, they will be playing a couple of warm up gigs in Holstein.

The first one is this coming Saturday, April 27th at "The Cafe Coma" in Bad Segeberg, where they are teaming up with Sven's band "Skorbut", the infamous Baltic Sea Pirates.

The following Thursday they play "The Hexenkessel" at Oldenberg in Holstein, the next town West of Axel's native Heringsdorf.

From then on it is a month of festival appearances, starting with the aforementioned Aethercircus.

A hectic week of travel ensues after the festival, with the long haul back to Derbyshire to pick up the "BB Mobile" before heading to The UK;s deep South West with Montague Jaques Fromage, who will be joining them in Germany from The US.

A stop off on Friday, to play "The Chill Bar" in Ilfracombe en route to "Steampunks In Springtime" on the Saturday, this year at The Labyrinth near Looes.

The week after BB travel back down to Somerset, for the inugural Frome Steampunk Extravaganza on the Saturday and back up to Derby for their headlining slot on "The lock Inn" stage at Bearded Theory on the Sunday.

May's festivals are rounded off on The Bank Holiday weekend with a "Glastonbudget" appearance, playing the Saturday afternoon Steampunk slot with Birthrite, Metropolis and still to be scheduled Gladstone.

One other snippet this week, is that the last weekend in September has been selected for the other big Matlock Bath event "The Steampunk Illuminata" and this year it will also combine with The Official Monster Raving Loony Party Annual Conference.

Lastly, if you are looking for somewhere to attend in The Midlands this weekend in the absence of BB. There is a Steampunk book launch at The Firebug in Leicester, for Rae Gee's "Selling Mars", with music from Birthrite and Crimson Clocks.
